D.C. Department of Transportation / Headquarters Mural

Commissioned by DC Department of General Services

In the top floor lunchroom of the new DDOT headquarters, a 950 sq ft mural was created focusing on the intersecting ways the agency facilitates and supports commerce, travel and life in the District. The mural was created on canvas using a collage of original photography and historic references screen printed in layers. The mural presents the four quadrants of the district, along with the historic design of Pennsylvania Avenue.

The ceiling tiles were designed to compliment the mural and reinforce the feeling of motion and intersection.
